Meatballs in Ginger Sauce

500 grams Minced Beef
1 small egg (lightly beaten)
1/2 cup plain flour
1 onion finely chopped
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon pepper
½ cup breadcrumbs
2 ½ cups water
2 small cubes beef stock
1 tablespoon brown sugar
¼ cup raisins
¼ cup lemon juice
½ x 250 gram packet ginger nut biscuits

Combine beef, egg, breadcrumbs, sifted flour, onion, salt and pepper in a bowl.
Shape mix into small meatballs. Quickly fry meatballs if you want to, as this can add a crunchie taste.

Bring water to boil in a large saucepan. Add crumbled stock cubes, sugar, raisins, juice and crushed gingernut biscuits.  Add meatballs gently, simmer for 10 mins. Gently turn meatballs over and simmer for another 10 mins.

Serve with Rice
