Creamy Chicken & Bacon – Crock Pot
Serves: 6
Preparation Time: 5 mins
Cooking Time: 4-6 hrs on low
INGREDIENTS
1kg skinless chicken thigh fillets (I used Chicken Breasts, and cooked for 4 hours)
200g diced bacon
1 tablespoon of minced garlic
1 x 420g cans of condensed cream of mushroom soup (no water added)
1/2 cup flour
1 cup sour cream
INSTRUCTIONS
Place chicken and bacon in crock pot bowl
Combine garlic, soup and flour and pour over chicken
Cover and cook on low for 4 – 6 hrs
10mins prior to serving stir through sour cream (you can leave this out if you like, it is good either way)
Serve on pasta or with vegetables.
NOTE: I used Chicken Breasts and found this was cooked at 4 hours. I put sliced carrots, broccoli and beans into an oven bag. Added 1/2 cup water, Twisted the top and placed it on top of the chicken for the last hour on high.
I have also thrown in some noodles that have soaked in boiling water for 5 minutes.
