Anne’s Sugar Buns
In a pot – ½ cup of sugar, ½ cup of butter, ¾ cup of water, 2 handfuls of fruit and drops of lemon essence.
Bring to simmer for 3 minutes. Cool and add 2 cups of self raising flour, 1 beaten egg. Mix, and put spoonfuls onto tray. Sprinkle with sugar and cook in oven at 150 for 20 minutes
