Chicken Nibbles – Air Fryer

    “Fried”Chicken Nibbles – Air Fryer

    500 grams chicken nibbles.

Place the nibbles in bowl of milk with splash of white vinegar (This makes buttermilk).

I add siracha to my milk mixture (to give the nibs more of a kick). Leave for half hour or so. Then, dip in flour mixture, shake off excess flour and put in air fryer on 200 degrees for 12 mins (for flat nibs) and 14/15 mins for the drum stick nibs.

I sprayed the fryer with a wee bit of spray oil. About halfway through cooking I did turn the nibbles. If some bits of flour aren’t cooking, just spray a teensy bit of oil on it.

My flour mix for fried chicken.. well. I am sorry but it’s a bit of a “bit of this and bit of that” recipe. But I have tried to estimate.

    Mix the below ingredients together:
    2 cup flour.
    3 TBSP paprika
    3 TBSP smoked paprika
    2 TBSP chili flakes (optional)
2 TBSP garlic powder (maybe slightly less…)
    2 TBSP onion powder
    1 TBSP salt
    2 TBSP oregano

Pro tip, put small amounts at a time in a dish to roll your chicken in, and then you can keep the leftover uncontaminated mix for next time

I also sometimes add a sprinkle of ground ginger

When I am actually frying it in oil, I usually do a test piece…. But now I have gotten quite good at guessing the amounts.

I have not tried boneless in the air fryer – But will be looking at this soon
