Lasagne

Lasagne

    1 kilo mince
    2 onions – finely chopped
    1 pkt lasagne noodles
2 cans tomatoes, I usually used flavoured ones
2 cloves garlic, or 1 heaped teaspoon garlic from jar
    2 teaspoons Oregano
    1 container of tomato paste
    salt and pepper
cheese, 1/2 cup for the top (grated)

Cheese sauce, you can use a packet of premade or make your own.

Saute onion in 1 teaspoon of oil, then add garlic.
    Add mince and brown
add tomatoes, salt and pepper and oregano, and tomato paste
let this simmer for 15 mins. If you need to thicken the mince, use teaspoons of cornflour, mixed to a paste with 2 tables spoons of water

While the mince is cooking simmer your lasagne noodles for 10 minutes
or you can use precooked sheets of lasagne.

Make cheese sauce, or use premade sauce.
I mix two tablespoons of flour with two tablespoons butter or margerine. Microwave in bowl for 1 minute. Add 1 cup milk slowly, mixing to a paste each time. Add another cup of milk and half cup grated cheese. Microwave for two minutes and stir. Continue until thickened. Usually about 8 minutes. If it has not thickened enough, you can add in 1 teaspoon of corn flour which has been mixed to a pasted with cold water.
Sometimes I add a pre-made sauce to the above homemade sauce, to get a good amount of sauce.
grease lasagne dish. Layer mince, pasta, sauce until your dish is full. Usually 2 to 3 layers. Finish with cheese sauce, then sprinkle with cheese. Sprinkle with Paprika, then bake.

Bake at 180 for 45 minutes.
