Nana Lile’s Pickled Pineapple

1 can pineapple chunks
¾ cup white vinegar
1 ¾ cups sugar
Pinch salt
6 – 8 cloves
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Drain juice from pineapples and make up to 1 cup with water.
Add vinegar, sugar, salt, cloves and cinnamon.

Simmer uncovered for 10 minutes. Add pineapple, bring back to boil.
Cool in refrigerator for 1 week. Serve with poultry or ham.
