Home Made Pizza Base Dough

    5 Bases:
    4 1/2 Cups Flour – All Purpose
    4 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast
    1/4 Cup Olive Oil
    2 teaspoon Salt
    2 teaspoons Brown Sugar
    1 1/2 cups warm water
    Extra Flour for dusting and rolling later

    By Hand:
    Get 2 Bowls.
    Put 1/2 cup Warm water in one bowl. add sugar and stir, add yeast to this. Stir and let stand for 5 minutes. It will froth up in about 5 minutes. Make sure your water is not too warm.

    Add 3/4 of the Olive Oil to yeast mixture – Mix with a fork
    Add the other 1 cup warm water – Mix with fork
    Add Salt – Mix
    Add sifted Flour

    Using your fork, mix it all together, then mold with hands into a large ball, until flour is gone. Knead for around 5 to 10 minutes.

    Using cake mixer/dough hook:
    If using a cake mixer/bread dough hook. Sift flour and salt into the bowl, then make a well and add in 3/4 of the Oil, add in the other 1 cup of warm water and then yeast mix. Put mixer on for about 10 mins

    Transfer to a large bowl. Drizzle with the last bit of oil on top and turn the dough over until lightly covered with oil, cover with tea towel, and sit in warm place for 1 1/2 hours.

    Split into 5 if you are making the larger mix, roll out and cook for around 12 minutes each pizza.

    1 Base:
    1/3 Cups Flour – All Purpose
    1 teaspoon Active Dry Yeast
    1 1/2 Tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil
    1/2 teaspoon Salt
    1/2 teaspoon Brown Sugar
    1/2 Cup Warm Water
