Toffee Apples
Makes 6
3 cups sugar
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon vinegar
½ teaspoon cream of tartar
¼ cup water
Heat, stir and keep to a simmer. Simmer for 6 mins with no stirring. Then check every 1 min to see if ready in cold water. Add red food colouring at last minute when ready.
