{"id":928,"date":"2019-03-25T09:17:53","date_gmt":"2019-03-24T20:17:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/debskitchen.co.nz\/?p=928"},"modified":"2019-03-25T10:43:13","modified_gmt":"2019-03-24T21:43:13","slug":"slow-cooked-beef-cheeks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/debskitchen.co.nz\/?p=928","title":{"rendered":"Slow Cooked Beef Cheeks"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><\/p>\n<ul>\nSlow Cooked Beef Cheeks &#8211; Serves 12<\/p>\n<p>2 x Beef Cheeks (or 1.5 kg of any other Beef)<br \/>\n2 x Onions, sliced up<br \/>\n300 mls of Beef Stock or Red Wine<br \/>\n300 mls water<br \/>\n1 bottle of Passata (Tomato Puree, or use 2 cans of tomatoes)<br \/>\n8 Cloves of Garlic<br \/>\n3 carrots, chopped<br \/>\n1 teaspoon Salt<br \/>\n1 teaspoon Pepper<br \/>\na bunch of fresh herbs tied together, eg Marjoram, Basil, Parsley. Or throw in a few teaspoons of dried herbs of your choice.<\/p>\n<p>Brown the whole Beef Cheeks on all sides in a fry pan. If you are using another choice of beef, chop up roughly into cubes, and brown.<\/p>\n<p>Add the garlic, onions, carrots, salt and pepper. Cook for around 5 minutes with the beef in frypan.<\/p>\n<p>Add the Passata, or tomatoes.
