{"id":82,"date":"2013-10-14T08:33:34","date_gmt":"2013-10-14T08:33:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/debskitchen.co.nz\/?p=82"},"modified":"2019-06-10T16:49:10","modified_gmt":"2019-06-10T04:49:10","slug":"meatballs-in-ginger-sauce","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/debskitchen.co.nz\/?p=82","title":{"rendered":"Meatballs in Ginger Sauce"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Meatballs in Ginger Sauce<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>500 grams Minced Beef<br \/>\n1 small egg (lightly beaten)<br \/>\n1\/2 cup plain flour<br \/>\n1 onion finely chopped<br \/>\n\u00bc teaspoon salt<br \/>\n\u00bc teaspoon pepper<br \/>\n\u00bd cup breadcrumbs<br \/>\n2 \u00bd cups water<br \/>\n2 small cubes beef stock<br \/>\n1 tablespoon brown sugar<br \/>\n\u00bc cup raisins<br \/>\n\u00bc cup lemon juice<br \/>\n\u00bd x 250 gram packet ginger nut biscuits<\/p>\n<p>Combine beef, egg, breadcrumbs, sifted flour, onion, salt and pepper in a bowl.<br \/>\nShape mix into small meatballs. Quickly fry meatballs if you want to, as this can add a crunchie taste.<\/p>\n<p>Bring water to boil in a large saucepan. Add crumbled stock cubes, sugar, raisins, juice and crushed gingernut biscuits.\u00a0 Add meatballs gently, simmer for 10 mins.
