{"id":720,"date":"2016-05-02T11:48:03","date_gmt":"2016-05-01T23:48:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/debskitchen.co.nz\/?p=720"},"modified":"2016-05-02T11:48:03","modified_gmt":"2016-05-01T23:48:03","slug":"chicken-toasties","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/debskitchen.co.nz\/?p=720","title":{"rendered":"Chicken Toasties"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Chicken Toasties<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<p>2 \u2013 3 cups cooked chicken, chopped<br \/>\n1 Onion, chopped<br \/>\n2 Heaped teaspoons of Curry Powder<br \/>\nMango Chutney<br \/>\n1 \u2013 2 Spring Onions, chopped<br \/>\nSalt &#038; Pepper<br \/>\n\u00bd cup Mayonnaise<br \/>\n1 \u2013 2 cups Grated Tasty Cheese<br \/>\n1 \u00bd Loaves of Toast Bread<\/p>\n<p>Saut\u00e9\u2019 Onion until clear, add curry powder. Cook for another 2 minutes. Set this aside to cool.<\/p>\n<p>Put chicken, 2 \u2013 3 Tablespoons of Mango Chutney, spring onions, salt &#038; Pepper, Mayonnaise, grated cheese and the Onion\/curry mix in a large bowl. Stir all this together. You can add an egg if it is not smooth enough to spread at this stage.<\/p>\n<p>Grill your toast bread on both sides. I do a tray at a time in the oven.<\/p>\n<p>Spread the toast with Mango chutney; spread your chicken mix on top.<\/p>\n<p>Bake for 10 -15 minutes at around 180, grill on the top if they need browned more.<\/p>\n<p>Always sit them on a baking rack to cool, so they do not get moist.
