{"id":1130,"date":"2020-06-07T20:24:45","date_gmt":"2020-06-07T08:24:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/debskitchen.co.nz\/?p=1130"},"modified":"2020-06-07T20:27:46","modified_gmt":"2020-06-07T08:27:46","slug":"meatballs-and-pasta-instant-pot-or-crock-pot-express","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/debskitchen.co.nz\/?p=1130","title":{"rendered":"Meatballs and Pasta &#8211; Instant Pot or Crock Pot Express"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><\/p>\n<ul>Meatballs and Pasta &#8211; Instant Pot or Crock Pot Express<\/p>\n<p>Ingredients<br \/>\nMeatballs<br \/>\n500 grams Minced Beef<br \/>\n1\/2 cup bread crumbs (I used a flavoured one, but any is fine)<br \/>\n1\/2 onion finey chaopped<br \/>\n1 egg beaten<br \/>\n2 cloves garlic minced<br \/>\n1 tbsp chopped parsley<br \/>\n1\/2 tsp salt<br \/>\n1\/2 tsp black pepper<br \/>\n1 tsp thyme (I used fresh, but either is fine)<br \/>\n1\/8 tsp allspice<br \/>\n1\/8 tsp nutmeg<\/p>\n<p>Sauce<br \/>\n2 1\/2 cups beef stock<br \/>\n3 cups noodles (I used 2 different types of pasta)<br \/>\n2 tbsp butter<br \/>\n1.5 cups of Milk<br \/>\n3 tbsp cornflour<br \/>\n1 tsp parsley<br \/>\n1 clove garlic minced<br \/>\n1\/4 tsp black pepper<br \/>\n1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce<br \/>\n1\/2 cup sour cream<\/p>\n<p>Instructions<br \/>\nIn a bowl, mix the meatball ingredients together and form into small balls (should make 18-20 meatballs)<\/p>\n<p>Press Brown\/Saut\u00e9 (and then Start\/Stop) and melt 2 tbsp of butter. Place half the meatballs in the pot and brown nicely on each side. Place on a plate and cook the other half. When those are done remove and place on a plate. Press Start\/Stop to cancel the saut\u00e9 mode.<\/p>\n<p>Using some of the stock, deglaze the pot and scrape up any burnt bits. Stir in the parsley, garlic, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. <\/p>\n<p>Place the meatballs back in the pot followed by the noodles (Do not stir)<\/p>\n<p>Pour the remaining stock and place the remaining 2 tbsp of butter in small pieces on top.<\/p>\n<p>Close and lock the lid and turn the steam release valve to closed. Press Steam and set for 5 minutes (high pressure) and press Start\/Stop. When the cooking cycle is done, do a quick release.<\/p>\n<p>While that is cooking, whisk the milk and cornflour together.
